Literacy a Linage
Literacy a Linage.
This essay is about how Melanie Lukens father influenced her. Every day when
they went on a bike ride they stopped below the bell tower and recited classic poetry
this gave her an appreciation for literacy and language. Then she went into
into how she as a little girl loved being read to, reading books and acting out
scenes from her favorite books.
The next
part of the chapter was about how her father pushed her to read literature. Once she began to take poetry classes and she
began to improve her English abilities, her father made her keep telling her self
that she was a good poet and writer.
Her main
point was that she has come from a long tradition of literacy and writing in
her family, and that she has been passed a love of language writing from her
father.
